Rachmaninov has always been considered the greatest pianist of all time and no pianist can make a real career without mastering his piano concerto No. 3. The flourishing and riveting lines, the lavishing harmonies and colorful orchestration make this concerto one of the top! If this piece takes you to another world, the music of Ravel, Prokofiev and Torke will prepare you well and transport you to a world of fantasy, imagination, and hope.
Our very own Youth Symphony will be part of the Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite in a side-by-side.
Pianist Philip Edward Fisher who is widely recognized as a unique performer of refined style and exceptional versatility will solo in the Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 3.
