![]() DOWNLOAD THE ANNUAL FUND PLEDGE FORM► The mission of the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra is to be a cultural asset to the community by providing quality music, education and performance opportunities for regional talent to an ever-expanding audience. Our programs include five regular season concerts, WSO Billtown Brass concerts, Williamsport Symphony Youth Orchestra concerts, our Close-Up Concert Series, Pops In The Park outdoor concerts, family concerts, our annual Young Artist Competition and our new Williamsport Symphony Junior Strings. READ MORE ABOUT THE WSO► IRA CHARITABLE ROLLOVER PROVISION REINSTATED The IRA Charitable Rollover provision was reinstated for 2012 and 2013 in the tax deal Congress passed last week. The IRA Rollover provision permits donors age 70 ½ and older to make tax-free charitable gifts directly from their IRAs, up to an annual ceiling of $100,000. The good news is that the provision was reinstated retroactively for 2012, which means an IRA distribution received by you in December can still qualify as a rollover gift for 2012. In other words, if you took a required minimum distribution (RMD) from your IRA during the month of December 2012, up to $100,000 can be counted as a "charitable rollover" in 2012 if the cash is sent to the charity by January 31, 2013. If this situation applies to you or someone you know, please consider a gift to the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and help "keep the musicians on the stage". For more information, please call 570-322-0227 or kindly mail your contribution to the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra office at 220 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, PA 17701. |
